Today I read an interesting blog by Koenraad Elst on the Ayodhya verdict. He very precisely put it that Ayodhya is a matter of faith for the Hindus above all the other evidence available. It made me think why can't these issues be solved by without being political. He simply highlighted that many developed countries have solved these problems in an effective manner and we should also do so.
Another interesting read was in Hindustan Times editorial yesterday which talked about the dispute from the perspective of two average citizens one Hindu & one Muslim. Both from the same profession of gardening who easily recommended that the holy land should be planted with beautiful trees & shrubbery for the peace to prevail.
My point is that peace should prevail & I feel that if the whole world & universe is an entity of the supreme being whatever name you call it Bhagwaan, God etc. would it matter to him if a mosque or a temple was built on the land. Which again is just a piece of 2-3 acres. And why can't both exist in the same space as the courts have ruled.
I think the average citizens don't care about these things more so the younger generation which is good. It shows that they have started thinking. But still the need is that the political parties/people should stop stoking the embers to throw the nation into another communal fire. Hindus and Muslims both have created some structures on the same piece of land and the structures have crumbled. This points to the fact that nothing stays, everything changes with time.
And now the time has come to change so that our country progresses. The change should not be regressive that drags us behind. Hope that some day we the Indians will rise above the issues of you, me, religion, caste and make our country a truly global power not just a paper super power.
we need to work towards it collectively.
